Nitro RC Airplanes

Nitro RC Airplanes represent the most popular and largest variety of radio controlled airplane. Flying a nitro RC airplane requires at least an Intermediate skill level.

This means that before you attempt to begin nitro flying, you will already have flown and mastered controlling a 4 channel electric RC airplane such as the Megatech Freedom Flyer with the fourth channel main wing aileron upgrade.

There are many nitro powered airplanes to choose from but for our purposes, my goal is to provide you with the best recommendation for your first nitro RC airplane, and there is only one: the NexSTAR Select.

• The plane comes Almost Ready to Fly (ARF) and requires only 20 minutes of assembling the major pieces.
• The design of the NexSTAR Select includes a large wing span which makes it easy to see in the sky and provides for greater stability.

Final Note: unlike electric RC airplanes, which have less restrictions on where they can be flown, most towns have restrictions on where you can fly a nitro RC Airplane. This means that you most likely will need to find an authorized designated area that allows flying nitro RC airplanes.
